Lamborghini Huracan Performante Sets New Record Lap Time In Nurburgring
This will be the most powerful & performance Huracan ever built
Like we already reported earlier Lamborghini would soon be unveiling a performance oriented Huracan Performante at the 2017, Geneva Motor Show next week. While they already released a teaser video of this upcoming car with all the aerodynamic improvement that it has received along with the feat that the car has achieved at the most dangerous track of them all the Nurburgring.
As you can already see in this video provided above the Huracan Performante was able to complete the whole lap of the race track in just 6 minutes and 52.01 seconds beating the Porsche 918 Spyder by few seconds. Now the official details of the engine are not out yet, but it will use the same 5.2 Litre V10 unit which powers the standard Huracan. However, just like the Aventador S and the SV model the Performante variant will also receive a slightly more boost in the power figures with some tweaks made to the engine and aerodynamics. Expect the Huracan Performante variant to produce atleast 30-40 Bhp more power.
Now, the Huracan Performante features Active aerodynamics which according to the Supercar manufacturers term is called ‘Aerodynamica Lamborghini Attiva’. Huracan Performante with its Active aerodynamics gets two flaps on either side of the rear wings which creates maximum downforce on the rear tyres while turning left or right at high speeds and also during cornering. It also gets a huge spoiler which also helps in the cars overall performance. Offcourse expect the vehicle to also feature different tyres and perhaps differently styled wheels as well.
