Yet another Lamborghini catches fire and is completely destroyed. The latest incident happened yesterday in Dubai. And the car in question is a limited edition Lamborghini Aventador LP 720-4 50 Anniversario.

The incident happened yesterday at the Dubai Marina and soon pictures and videos started popping up online. Fire fighters could not stop the blaze on time. The car suddenly caught fire just like the Gallardo which caught fire in Delhi recently.

The supercar was launched by Lamborghini in 2013 to celebrates its 50th anniversary. It has been limited to only 200 cars. 100 of them are coupes while the rest are roadsters. Sadly there is 1 less now.

The roadster is powered by a 6.5 litre naturally aspirated V12 engine producing 720 hp and 690 Nm of torque. The power generated is 20 more than the standard Aventador. The engine is mated to a 7-speed gearbox and power is sent to all four wheels. The car accelerates from a stand still to a 100 kmph in 2.9 seconds and it goes on to a top speed of 350 kmph.

The exterior of the car gets small cosmetic changes to differentiate it from the regular car and it also gets a new unique custom paint job. The changes on the inside include a semi-aniline leather upholstery.

The car costs USD $548000. Lamborghini should investigate why the car caught fire and rectify the problem if it is found in other 50th anniversary edition cars.
