Fiat Abarth Punto Spotted Once Again Before Its Launch On October 19th
These images clearly give us an idea of how the production version of the much anticipated first budget hot hatch of India will look like. According to the source the Abarth Punto will be launched on 19th of October and the bookings like we already have informed before had commenced. That’s right! You can book this soon to be launched hatchback by going to any nearby Fiat showroom and paying a token amount of INR. 50, 000.
The styling is what differentiates the Abarth Punto from the standard Punto hatchback. The Abarth Punto will be made available in two colors which includes Black and White. Both the cars gets contrast wing mirrors on its exterior along with an impressive looking and well finished 16 inch ‘Scorpion’ Alloy wheels. The exterior also gets racing stripes and body decals. To make the handling even better the ride height of this hot hatchback has also been lowered to 155 mm. The Fiat badges on the exterior have also been replaced with the Abarth badges.
Although these images do not give us a peek inside the cabin but we have heard that the Abarth Punto gets contrast stitching on the seats while the dashboard has been finished entirely in Black. The steering wheel also gets the Abarth badges while the door sills will most probably also get the same badge.
Under the hood the Abarth Punto is powered by the 1.4 Litre T-Jet turbocharged petrol unit which will be able to produce about 145 Bhp of peak power and an impressive 212 Nm of torque. This engine will come paired to a 5 speed manual gearbox which will send power to the front wheels. Performance plays a key role in all the Abarth cars and this hatchback will not be so different either, the Abarth Punto with all that power can actually sprint from 0-100 km/h mark in 8.8 seconds. This hot hatch also promises to deliver about 16.3 km/l of fuel.
Expect the Abarth Punto to be priced below INR. 10 Lakhs and will catch the attention of those enthusiastic buyers who wants little more out of their daily ride.
