For all your kind information all the sub-4 meter cars which have an engine capacity below 1.2 Litre petrol and 1.5 Litre diesel will now attract 28 percent tax rate along with 1 percent cess for petrol engines and 3 percent cess for diesel engines.

MARUTI ALTO 800N & ALTO K10
Maruti’s popular entry level hatchback the Alto800 and their 1000 cc offering the Alto K10 have received a price cut in the range of INR. 2.300 to as high as 5, 400 depending on the variants which also includes the more powerful Alto K10 as well which also comes with an optional AMT transmission.
Maruti’s most preferred hatchback the Wagon-R too has received a price cut in the range in between INR. 5,300-Rs 8,300 depending on the variants. This hatchback is available only with a petrol engine but gets an option AMT transmission besides the standard manual.
Renault’s popular entry level offering the KWID too has received a price cut post-GST. According to the reports, Renault has reduced the prices of their vehicles by upto 7 percent based on the new rules. Their favourite entry level hatchback the KWID Climber has received a price in between the range of INR. 5,200 to Rs 29,500. The KWID is available in both 800 cc and 1000 cc variant. The more powerful KWID also offers a rotary knob AMT transmission as an option.
HYUNDAI GRAND I10
The newly launched Hyundai Grand i10 facelift hatch too has benefitted from this reduction in prices. The ex-showroom prices of the new Grand i10 have gone down by almost INR. 2,660 to over 6,000 depending on the variants. For all your information the Hyundai Grand i10 is available in both petrol and diesel fuel option.
MARUTI SUZUKI SWIFT
While there is still some time for the launch of the new generation Swift in India for those who are looking to get their hands on the current generation Swift hatch can avail the hatchback by paying atleast INR. 6,700 to Rs 10,700 less than before.
