The facelift model for the Mercedes-Benz SLK, the 2017 Mercedes-Benz SLC has been spotted testing at the infamous Nurburgring. The new nomenclature from the German manufacturer shows that the car is a roadster belonging to the C-Class family which includes the C-Class sedan and the GLC SUV.

The test mule spotted had a few camouflaged parts which showed that the new car will feature a redesigned front bumper, rear bumper and new headlights. The car is also set to feature refreshed tail lamps and new exhaust pipes. The roadster is also expected to get new interiors along with new equipment.

To power the regular SLC, the same range of engines currently available might continue to be offered. The engine on the AMG variant is likely to be changed. The 5.5 litre V8 on the SLK 55 AMG may be replaced by a new 4.0 litre twin-turbocharged V8. A new AMG variant called the SLC 450 AMG might also make its debut. It will be powered by a 3.0 litre V6.

The Mercedes-Benz roadster is expected to make its debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show in September and it will rival the new Audi TT and the legendary BMW Z4.
