2017 AUDI A3 CABRIOLET VS MERCEDES BENZ CLA
Audi already launched the updated A3 Cabriolet in India in February, and that car came with all the updates that you can also notice in the facelift A3 compact sedan here. Just like the A4 the facelift car also gets some upgrades in the form of new design LED daytime running lamp and LED headlamps. The front profile also gets a single frame grille towards the front now. Apart from the headlights and grille the updated car also gets a refurbished front bumper as well.
[Mercedes-Benz launched the CLA facelift last year, and just like the A3 the compact sedan from Mercedes has also received a new set of full LED headlamps while the daytime running lamp pattern too has been given some minor updated as well. The Indian spec CLA bumper too looks slightly different than that of the International spec variants; it gets a chrome lip which runs horizontally across the front lip of the sedan. The side profile, however, remains identical to the pre-facelift variant while the rear profile too gets some minor nips and tucks towards the two tailpipes.

The infotainment system of the CAL now supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as standard along with an inbuilt Smartphone integration which can be done via Bluetooth. The instrument t cluster too is a non-virtual unit, but it gets a sporty theme inside in the form of red needles.
Under the hood, the facelift A3 gets a smaller 1.4 Litre four cylinder turbo petrol unit which produces about 150 hp and 250 Nm of torque. This smaller unit replaces the bigger 1.8 Litre unit. The petrol unit is also paired to a 7-speed DSG gearbox and gets Cylinder On-Demand. The diesel variant, on the other hand, continues with the 2.0L TDI turbodiesel engine which produces about 143 hp of peak power and 320 Nm of peak torque.
