To begin with, let us take a look at the dimensions of the Slavia. It measures 4,541 mm in length, 1,752 mm in width and 1,487 mm in height. The vehicle also has a boot space of 521-litre which is ample by all standards. Thanks to this configuration, Skoda claims that space inside the cabin is plenty to provide a comfortable seating position, headroom, and knee room for all passengers irrespective of their height.

The 2021 Honda city on the other hand is 4,549 mm in length, 1,748 mm in width, 1,489 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2,600 mm which is lesser than the Slavia that presents a 2,651 mm wheelbase. However, there is only a marginal difference in wheelbase between the two vehicles. The boot space of the city is quite less when compared to the Slavia. The city only offers 506-litre of boot space. Nonetheless, the City with 2mm of extra height compared to the Slavia, ensures better headroom.

Regardless of the power delivery, the Slavia only provides petrol-powered engines while the Honda City presents its customers with both petrol and diesel power units

The Skoda Slavia is based on the MQB A0 IN platform and rolls off the factory floor with two different engine options. Both the engines are petrol-powered. It comes equipped with a 1.0-litre motor as well as a 1.5-litre engine. The 1.0-litre engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and also gets the option of a 6-speed automatic gearbox. On the other hand, the 1.5-litre unit also gets the options of a 6-speed manual and 7-speed DSG gearbox.

In terms of power delivery, the 1.0-litre engine has the capacity to produce 113bhp of power and 175Nm of torque. However, the bigger and mighty 1.5-litre turbocharged engine has the capacity to churn out 150bhp of power and 250Nm of torque.

Regardless of the power delivery, the Slavia only provides petrol-powered engines while the Honda City presents its customers with both petrol and diesel power units. Regardless, let us take a quick look at the performance output of the Honda City.

The petrol variant of the City comes with a powerful 1.5-litre iVTEC engine mated to a six-speed manual gearbox and a CVT as an option. It churns out 119 bhp of power and 145 Nm of torque which is quite decent but lesser when compared to the Slavia. On the other hand, the City also comes with a 1.5-litre iDTEC motor coupled to a six-speed transmission This engine of the City is capable of producing 98 bhp of power and 200 Nm of torque.
