We have brought you the details of the M4 Coupe concept when it was first unveiled by the auto manufacturer and as you can see that the production version too looks quite similar to the concept model which indicates to only one thing that BMW has added an aggressive styling to the new M4 Coupe and quite honestly it shows.

Did You Watch The Nuerburgring Lap Of The BMW M4 GTS: Video

We already have shown you couple of videos lapping different race tracks but one legendary race track does not need any introduction for sure. Seen in this video is the new BMW M4 GTS lapping around the Nürburgring Nordschleife (North Loop) and before you start searching let me inform you that the car was able to set an outstanding lap record of 7min 28s.

The BMW M4 GTS was driven by BMW M engineer Joerg Weidinger who was actually describing every move that he was making with the car. The BMW M4 GTS is based on the same M3 platform what is even more interesting is also the fact that the production variant of the car looks identical to the concept. The Coupe also gets adjustable carbon front splitter, while towards the rear there is this massive adjustable wing. However the side profile of the M4 GTS looks identical to the standard M4.

Under the hood the M4 GTS gets the twin-turbo 3.0 Liter inline-six engine which now has an increased output of 493 Hp while the same car produces an impressive torque amount of 443 pound-feet. The engine is paired to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Jaguar provides options of both V6 and a more powerful V8 engines under the hood while the BMW M4 which was launched recently in the Indian market gets only a 3.0 Litre, 6 cylinder, twin turbocharged unit which produces about 432 HP of peak power at 5500-7300rpm and also an impressive amount of torque 550 NM in between 1850-5500rpm. On the other hand as already mentioned above Jaguar has both the options of V6 and V8 engine under its hood, the V6 unit produces about 375 hp of peak power and 460 Nm of torque while the V8 unit produces about a healthy 543 Hp of peak power and 680 Nm of torque.

Now in this video it is not mentioned exactly which variant are they using here for the F-Type but with all that torque and rear wheel drive everything surely looks fun.

They are here! BMW launched the much awaited M3 sedan and the M4 Coupe in India today just only few days after they introduced the all new M5 sedan in India. The M3 (4 door sedan) has been priced at INR. 1.19 Crore (Ex Showroom) while the M4 (2 door Coupe) has been priced at INR. 1.21 Crore (ex showroom), both these cars will be brought to India via the CBU (Complete Built Units) route.

The M3 and M4 share the same and all new naturally aspirated 3.0 Litre, 6 cylinder, twin turbocharged unit which puts out a healthy 432 HP of peak power at 5500-7300rpm and also an impressive amount of torque 550 NM in between 1850-5500rpm to be exact. BMW claims that the engines are now extremely fuel efficient and all the credit goes to their lightweight construction, BMW has used extremely lightweight carbon fiber and aluminum components in their construction and thus both of these cars has shaded about 80 kilograms and now weigh less than 1500 Kilograms. Reducing the overall weight not only has positive effects on making these cars more fuel efficient but also helped it in improving their overall performance as well. Both the M3 and M4 Coupe are now extremely fast machines and they can accelerate from 0-100 km/h mark in just 4.1 seconds while they both have an electronically restricted top speed of 250 km/h mark.

Video: Guinness World record For Most donuts around a car driving on two wheels

Records are meant to be broken and this week is perhaps the week where numbers of interesting records is being made. We have already showed you the video of the highest truck jump and now its turn for the record involving two cars amongst which one is actually driving on two wheels.

In this video you can watch Han Yue from China achieving the Guinness World record of performing the most number of donuts around a car driving on two wheels. Han Yue was driving a BMW M4 Coupe while the BMW Mini 3 door which was moving on two wheels was driven by Zhang Shengjun. Han completed a total of 10 successful donuts around the Mini 3 door in just 1 minute. It is really a tough stunt to perform but Han has actually made the stunt look easy with his great driving skills and accurate timing sense.

Han Yue is the same person who holds the record of tightest parallel parking in a MINI hatch. Han was able to slide his MINI 3 door hatch into a tight parking space and left a gap of just 8 cm longer than the car he was driving (The video of has been provided below.)

According to the reports BMW is all set to launch the new M3 sedan and the M4 Coupe in India on November 26th 2014. These new M cars will join the already available M5 sedan and M6 Gran Coupe which are other high performance BMW products available in India.

As you all are quite aware of the fact that both these cars made their global debut this year and also use the same platform. The M3 and M4 are based on the standard 3 Series and 4 series BMW which are then tuned by the M division and thus you can actually expect a more power packed performance and powerful engine under the hood of both these cars. While talking about engine let me inform all of you that both the M3 and the M4 are powered by a 3.0 Liter six-cylinder in-line engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology, this engine has been mated to a 6 speed manual gearbox however there is also an option of a Seven-speed Double Clutch Transmission. Now this engine although might not be the V8 that we all expected for but surely is one powerful unit which produces about 431 hp of peak power in between 5500–7300 rpm and 550 Nm of torque in between 1,850–5,500 rpm, now these are really impressive figures considering the fact that this is a smaller engine.

2014 BMW M4 Convertible

The BMW M3 needs no introduction. On the contrary, here is a background of the first ever BMW M4 Convertible. Until now, the M3 was available as a four-door sedan and in a sporty two-door coupe body styles.

Now, BMW has decided to differentiate both of them and assign a unique name. So, the sedan bears the legendary M3 monicker, while the two-door is assigned with the new M4 badge.

At the 2014 New York International Auto Show, BMW unveiled the brand new BMW M4 Convertible, the last in the line of M-car launches this year. The M4 drop-top is based on the coupe and uses the same M-Division honed powertrain.

The new M4 is lighter and stiffer than before. The engine is now an in-line 6-cylinder unit with twin-turbochargers driving the rear wheels via an M-differential and an M-DCT transmission and there’s more after the jump.

BMW India All Set To Launch 7-Series Hybrid, M4, and M5 facelift in 2014

The world has a new BMW M3 and the very first M4 Coupe. But, what about those people of the Indian subcontinent? Well, BMW India says they will launch the M4 as well as the M5 facelift this year. Also on the menu is the all-new BMW 7-Series Hybrid.

The BMW M3 and M4 were previewed last year and only recently have been launched in the European and American markets. While the M3 is now a four-door only sedan, the M4 fills in for the coupe. Both cars share the same powertrains which now make up of a twin-turbocharged straight-six instead of the naturally aspirated V-8 of the E92 M3.

Secondly, the M5 sports sedan will receive the LCI treatment later this year. It will use the same twin-turbocharged V-8 but with an increased top speed of 305 kph. The car also received new all-LED lights, lightweight M-alloy wheels as well as an optional Competition Package. BMW has already launched the 5-Series LCI in India and the M5 LCI will be the last of the updates that the F10 generation will receive before a complete model overhaul scheduled for 2015-16.

For the businessmen and wealthy executives among us, BMW will launch the 7-Series Hybrid later this year. The Hybrid version will be sold alongside the 750Li, 760Li and 730Ld. The new version will make use of the latest in BMW’s Efficient Dynamics technologies to further improve fuel efficiency and reduce the overall environmental footprint.

BMW reveals the M4 Convertible

BMW has just revealed the new M4 Convertible. The Bavarian giant launched the M3 sedan and M4 coupe earlier this year and now; here comes the drop-top version of one of their most iconic sports cars. The official launch will happen during the 2014 New York Auto Show and that is when the prices for the new convertible will be announced.

Like the new M4 Coupe, the convertible is based on an extremely sophisticated chassis. The new M4 convertible manages to be lighter than its predecessor. Also, the engine produces more punch than before. Hence, the new M4 convertible is bound to be quite an exciting proposition.

The new in-line six-cylinder engine is garnished with two turbochargers which results in a total output of 425 horsepower at 5500-7300 rpm and 550 Nm at 1850- 5500 rpm. Customer gets the option of a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed M Double Clutch transmission. Thanks to the weight savings and the increase in power, the M4 Convertible can reach the 100 Km/h mark in just 4.2 seconds with the dual-clutch gearbox on board.

BMW also has recently announced the prices of the M3 sedan and M4 Coupe for the US. The M3 sedan is priced at USD 62,000 while the M4 Coupe will set you back USD 64,000. That’s USD 5000 more than the previous generation M3.

2014 BMW M4 MotoGP Safety Car

BMW Motorad entered the 2009 World Superbike Championship (WSBK) with brand new BMW S1000RR- the fastest liter-class bike of its days. In 2012, Colin Edwards rode a similar machine in the CRT Class.

BMW has also been a sponsor of the sport for a while now. Each year, the rider with maximum number of pole positions is gifted with the latest BMW M car. BMW is also the official sponsor of the Safety Cars used in Moto GP races. Last year, a BMW M6 Gran Coupe was appointed as the Safety Car. This year, BMW will have the all-new M4 Coupe as the official MotoGP Safety Car.

Based on the production BMW M4, the MotoGP Safety Car uses the same base car, albeit with a few aesthetic modifications. This gives BMW a chance to promote the special M Performance parts as well. This year’s BMW M4 Safety Car is powered by a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-6 cylinder engine producing 431 horsepower.
