Ferrari FF Vs. Bentley Continental V8 Race On Ice: Video
We all said goodbye to our favorite auto show of all time Top Gear which was actually hosted by our three popular hosts Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James may. However there are several clips on you tube from the auto show which actually brings joy everytime we watch them. I managed to tumble across one of such video which was on you tube and as you can notice its actually a race between the Bentley Continental V8 and the Ferrari FF.
As you also can see the race is actually taking place on ice which makes the situation far worse. Jeremy is seen sitting behind the wheels of the Bentley Continental V8 which is the heavier car amongst the duo obviously both the cars have activated their traction controls in order to get a grip on the slippery ice. Surprisingly the Bentley takes a lead in the beginning of the race but the Ferrari catches up soon and easily beats the heavier car here. But in the second part of the video we can see both the cars race each other on a circuit. Yes! TopGear folks have created a replica of a circuit in the middle of nowhere and things turns really interesting when both this cars race against each other on this circuit.
Obviously this is a TopGear clip which you don’t want to give a miss.. Watch and enjoy more of Jeremy Clarksons madness as he drives this four wheel drive Bentley on snow..
Bentley launched the Continental GT in 2003 and it was the first car to be launched after Volkswagen took over the company in 1998. It is also the first Bentley to use ’mass production’ manufacturing techniques. The Continental is one of the most successful and best selling cars in Bentley’s history.
The British manufacturer launched the second generation Continental in 2010 and deliveries began in early 2011. The car recieved a small update in 2014. The company slowly launched different versions of the car that included both a coupe and a convertible powered by a V8 or a W12. A few special edition vehicles were also launched.
The latest in this line-up is the GT3-R. It was launched on 17th June 2014. It was inspired by the Continental GT3 race car that won the second round of Blancpain Endurance Series at Silverstone. This victory became the company’s first win in the UK after 84 years.
The coupe, which is based on the Continental V8, is an interpretation of performance-focused luxury. It is the most dynamic car built by the Crewe based British manufacturer. Only 300 cars will be made. They will be hand built in Crewe and finished by Bentley’s motorsports division.
In a straight line, the Bentley Continental GT W12 would go past 320 km per hour in no time. The engine powering this Bentley is nothing short of a masterpiece. Three banks of cylinders arranged in a ’W’ configuration and garnished with two turbochargers generate enough grunt to power this behemoth of a GT car from standstill to 100 kph in just 4.0 seconds.
The ’Le Mans Edition’ of the Bentley Continental GT W12 was launched to commemorate the success the company has had at the famous Le Mans 24 Hours endurance race. This limited edition model celebrates the return of Bentley to Le Mans as well as the achievements of the "Bentley Boys" who made history by winning the race back in 1924.
Only 48 examples of the Le Mans Edition Continental GT W12 will be built and each car will be unique. All 48 units will have a unique Le Mans Edition numbered badge, Le Mans Edition clock face, embroidered Le Mans badge to each headrest, tread plates with the limited edition name, unique Le Mans Edition wheels and specific interior veneers and exterior colors.

It is elegant, luxurious and a comfortable grand tourer and comes from a country that has a long heritage of making exclusive cars and expensive coachwork. The Bentley marque is now owned by the Germans; Volkswagen AG, to be precise who have carried forward the traditional art of creating some of the finest interiors and leather coachwork in the world.
Their latest model the Continental GT V8 S is one such product based on the design principles laid down by the brand long back. Unlike the original Continental GT that is powered by a twin-turbocharged W12 engine, this one, as the name suggest gets a more sensible V8.
The Continental GT V8 S is available in both coupe and convertible forms and features a lowered sports suspension, a sharper steering rack and distinct styling coupled with a sonorous soundtrack.
The car was first showcased at the 2013 Frankfurt motor show and has since then gained popularity among the rich and the famous. The twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 engine produces 528 PS and 680 Nm of torque at a meager 1700 rpm.
