However, that is all going to change soon, according to the recent reports, there is a huge possibility that Maruti will be introducing the new generation Swift Sport in India keeping in mind the fact that hot hatchbacks are now finding places in the garages of many young Indian customers who want slightly powerful hatchbacks.

A compact SUV from Tata Motors which opens new doors
Tata Motors is a household name which we are all familiar with not exactly for their passenger’s cars but for their array of commercial vehicles which ply on our Indian roads. However, the entire scenario changed since the year 2014 when our homegrown auto manufacturer decided to introduce their new generation lineup for the Indian market. In that particular year, Tata Motors also showcased a sub-4 meter SUV concept at the 2014 Auto Expo which looked futuristic and way ahead of its time. Later we came to know Tata Motors received a lot of enquiries about the particular concept car which encouraged them to give a green signal to the project.
Move ahead to the year 2016 Auto Expo where we saw an almost production ready Nexon concept which looked futuristic and promised to bring with it an array of new features to this segment. The SUV was spotted being tested a couple of times on the Indian road and other various conditions. We also got to see a glimpse of the production variant of the Nexon at the 2017 Geneva Motor show. Tata Motors has also confirmed that they will be launching the much awaited Nexon sub-4 meter SUV towards the month of September.
The sub-4 meter SUV is a direct rival to the popular Maruti Vitara Brezza and the Ford Ecosport. Initially, we thought that it would be launched only with a diesel engine under its hood, but now we have received the confirmation that Tata Nexon will be available with both diesel and petrol engines which also give it a slight edge over its rival the Vitara Brezza.
Tata Nexon definitely has the looks to catch everyone’s attention but does it have everything to tick all the boxes? Find it out here in our overview of this new sub-4 meter SUV from Tata Motors.
A Concept car which could open lots of opportunities for Mercedes in the compact car segment
Mercedes-Benz did showcase quite a few exciting products at the 2017 Shanghai Auto show but what attracted the most number of attentions is the concept that they showcased alongside their regular lineup. Called the Concept A Sedan, with this Concept Mercedes-Benz is providing an outlook of the next generation of compact vehicles and a potential, new body type.
To make it simple, this is the new concept which most probably will later be converted into the production variant of the A-Class sedan which will be sold alongside the A-Class hatchback. This compact car will compete directly with the likes of the Audi A3 sedan and the soon to be introduced BMW 1-Series sedan. Now there is a fair chance of the Concept A-sedan may soon turn into reality because the compact luxury car market has flourished a lot in the past couple of years. Some of the entry level Mercedes products like the A and B and even the GLA-Class was able to attract a lot of buyers. While its two major rivals have already entered the segment Mercedes, haven’t readied any product yet.

This is perhaps a worthy competitor to the Range Rover Sport SVR
The Dodge Challenger DRT Demon was not the only wild car showcased at the 2017 New York Auto show this year. Jeep also took covers of the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk which is a wilder variant of the standard Grand Cherokee. Now this car is not only powerful but can also reach a top speed of 180-mph.
Powered by the supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine, this unit is capable of producing about 707 Hp of peak power. This is the same unit which also powers the Hellcat as well. The FCA engineers surely made some serious amount of effort to swap the whole engine. The V8 is capable of producing about 707 Hp of peak power and 645 lb-ft of torque. Believe it or not but the Trackhawk can sprint from 0-60 mph mark in 3.5 seconds. Furthermore, the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk also gets a computer-controlled adaptive suspension system which enhances the overall driving experience. Furthermore, it also gets many different driving modes as well including Track mode which transfers 70 percent of the power output to the rear wheels. The SUV further also gets bigger brakes towards the front wheels. The overall aerodynamics of the SUV has also been improved to make it faster. However, the ride height of the SUV has been lowered to improve the handling dynamics.
To further enhance the track driving experience the Trackhawk also gets a launch control. Although, this is not as wild as the Challenger SRT Demon remember that the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk can comfortably sit five occupants inside and can still do its job.
So keeping all that in mind finally we can say that Land Rover Range Sport SVR finally has competition? Do leave your views on what exactly do you think about this beast of an SUV.

Tata Motors have revamped their image for the Indian Automobile market; they already created a lot of hype with their hatchback offering Tiago. If you all remember alongside the Tiago hatchback, Tata had also showcased a Tiago based compact sedan back at the 2016 New Delhi Auto Expo as well. There was no doubt that both the Tiago hatchback and the compact sedan based on the hatchback grabbed people’s attention at the Auto show. The sub-4 meter car was codenamed Kite5 while later it was officially renamed as ‘Tigor’.
There is no denying the fact that Tata Motors started the trend of compact sedans in the Indian market with their product the Indigo ecs but later the segment was overtaken by its rivals. Tata Motors was determined to get their hold back once again here, and as a result of all that, they have launched some modern generation products with refined styling and improved overall interior and exterior. Their new generation products certainly worked for the Indian market, and after almost a year of launch, the Tiago hatch still sells like hot cakes.
Tata Motors used the same strategy and introduced the Tigor compact sedan as well based on the same hatchback platform. But Tata called it Styleback because it did not have the typical styling of a small car. As a matter of fact, the Tigor is the unique looking car of its segment. Look at this car which falls under budget compact sedans category, but it still has the appeal of a premium offering which will impress many.
Yes, the Tigor shares the same drivetrain with the Tiago hatchback gets the same face with few tweaks, but the similarities end there.

A sophisticated yet powereful car which can give Ferrari and Lamborghini some serious competition
Mclaren inevitably attracted a lot of crowd at the 2017 Geneva Motor show when they unveiled the second generation Super Series. The 720S which was unveiled at the show will replace the 650S and will sit below the P1. The car was codenamed P14 and is not only a price of art but also is practical and performance oriented at the same time. I mean look at the front or the rear profile of the 720S, this thing looks serene from every possible angle, but this also is Mclaren’s stunning new interpretation of design language and their dedication towards aerodynamic principles.
This car has a whole new design and everything looks nothing exactly like what we are used to seeing in a Mclaren. The headlight design towards the front is all new one and will perhaps slightly remind you of the Mclaren logo, the headlamp unit, in particular, is an adaptive LED light unit which gets carbon fibre surround. The lower portion of the headlamp unit has a duct for cooling. The lower front profile has an air duct which channels all the cool air from the lower portion of the car towards the side profile. Walk towards the side profile and these big air intakes surely looks purposeful there is another air cooling duct positioned towards the lower portion of the car. The first thing which will draw your attention towards the rear profile of the car Is the new Aerowing which helps in braking as well as creating downforce in normal driving conditions. The slash cut shaped exhaust system looks almost identical to the 675 LT exhaust, but this one is lighter. The new car uses Carbon fibre chassis based on Monocage II and is 40 kilograms lighter than its predecessor. The Mclaren 720S weighs 1,283kg.

The lower price tag of the Compass SUV will be possible because Jeep decided to localise most of its parts in India at the FCA’s Ranjangaon plant. The reports state that Jeep will introduce the new Compass in three variants which include Sport, Longitude and Limited variants.
While the Compass takes its styling inspiration from the bigger Grand Cherokee SUV but under the hood, it will most probably get the 2.0-litre Multijet diesel engine which produces 165PS of power and 350Nm of torque. The engine will be paired to a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed automatic transmission depending on the trims. Hopefully, to truly bring out the capabilities of the SUV, Jeep will offer it with an all-wheel drive system as well.
If we talk about styling, then Compass gets the muscular appeal but it also receives a boxy design. The front profile gets the signature 7 toothed grille while towards the rear the Compass gets LED elements in the taillamps. The SUV showcased at the Auto show gets black-silver finished alloy wheels. Which definitely looks bold and rugged at the same time. Expect the interior to also be well equipped with all the luxury bits which will include a U connect touchscreen infotainment system positioned in the middle of the dashboard, infact this is the only Jeep SUV which will get an option of 3 different touchscreen infotainment system, it also gets a sunroof as well.
Apart from India the Jeep Compass will also be sold across 100 other Countries across the world.
