The Auto manufacturers definitely can read minds of their customers very well; we have seen many instances in the past and also in the present. Take for example the German premium auto manufacturer Mercedes, when they realized that their other premium German rivals are adopting new styling for their product lineup Mercedes immediately sent their designers back to the drawing board and as a result of that we saw new and aggressively designed products coming out of their stable which looked younger and attractive and immediately drawn attention of every age group towards them. Yes! We also received couple of these newly designed Mercedes products in our Indian market in the form of the A Class, the B Class, the new E and S Class and the upcoming C Class.

Many of you must be wondering that the headline quite clearly says that I am here to give you all the details of the new Audi RS7 then why am I giving you all the details of the Mercedes here, this is because these auto manufacturers try to launch a product for people with different choices and taste, Audi too introduced the RS7 in the year 2013 which is the most powerful Audi ever built. The 4 door sedan is capable of hitting 100 km/ h mark from standstill in just 3.9 seconds and has a top speed of 305 km/h mark.

Thus from the above data it is quite clear that what purpose is this particular car built for, the RS7 will definitely attract those who can afford to be different and add the fun quotient to their daily life. Audi recently introduced a facelift version of the RS7 just only after 18 months of the unveiling at the Detroit motor show last year. The revised RS7 received some cosmetic changes which surely has raised the appeal of this RS7 even more. However there are no mechanical changes made under the hood.

So without wasting any more time lets us get straight into the details of the new RS7.

Audi RS6, RS7 and A8 L Gets An Engine Upgrade

Audi RS6, RS7 and A8 L Gets An Engine Upgrade

Audi has given their performance cars RS6, RS7 and the Audi A8L further boost by upgrading their powertrain. No don’t get sad because when all other auto manufacturers are degrading their bigger engines for something smaller and more efficient, Audi has not changed the engine instead they have tweaked their existing 4.0 litre, twin turbocharged petrol unit to extract more power and torque.

Coming to the RS6 Avant which was launched recently in India, this car now also gets the tweaked 4.0 Litre TFSI unit which now produces about 605 Hp of peak power and 700 Nm of torque which is actually 44 Bhp more than the existing variant. Performance wise the RS6 Avant with the power boost has actually become 0.2 seconds quicker and now it can accelerate from 0-100 km/h mark in just 3.7 seconds, the same car can touch the 200 km/h mark from standstill in 12.1 seconds. Although the power output has increased but the V8 Bitturbo unit actually returns impressive fuel efficiency at the same time.

Just like the RS6 the RS7 is also powered by the same drivetrain and it also returns the same amount of power and torque output. Both the RS6 and the RS7 topspeed have also increased from 250 to 280 km/h mark.

The Audi A8L on the other hand is powered by the 4.0 Litre unit which now produces about 450bhp of peak power at 5,100 rpm which is 15bhp more than earlier while the torque amount stands at 601Nm at 1500 rpm.

This new and improved drivetrain has also been paired to an updated eight-speed tiptronic gearbox; the driver can choose from different driving modes or take control of the gear manually. All those power is then transferred to all the four wheels via the quattro permanent all-wheel drive system.
