The Indian consumers has become much more open towards their approach in experimenting with various kinds of automobile brands and genres of vehicles that is available in the Indian market today, which is also the reason why the premium auto manufacturers in India are getting the courage of experimenting with different products. 5 years before who would have even thought that there can be a segment of premium compact crossovers well! Standing in the year 2014, we can certainly say it was made possible. Now, Audi who are best known for their luxury sedans launched their Q range SUV’s in Indian and we Indians are lucky enough considering the fact that we can get our hands on some of the most capable, technologically advanced offroader that are available in the International market which actually make offroading fun.
Recently Audi launched the Q3 Dynamic in the Indian market, I know many are thinking that the Q3 is not a new vehicle in India and you are absolutely right! This is not actually a new vehicle infact the updated Q3 was launched in the year 2013 in the Indian market and the Q3 Dynamic is only a new variant which will sit on top of the Premium+ trim level and comes with many exciting features.
The Audi Q3 Dynamic will only be available with a diesel variant in the market and comes with the Audi Quattro all wheel drive system and the Audi Drive select via which you can configure the suspension settings of the car. Now that is what makes things interesting, perhaps this is Audi’s answer to Mercedes Benz who will be launching their own version of a premium compact SUV the GLA Class on September 30th in the Indian market and boy oh boy! That is one Crossover that we all are looking forward to. That said the Q3 is not an uninteresting compact SUV either we have provided you all the details of the recently launched Audi Q3 Dynamic below along with its prices.

the Dynamic trim gets Xenon plus headlamps with LED running lights
The Q3 SUV from Audi is definitely one stylish looking SUV which gained lot of attention of the people because of its compact size and shape. We specially love the sharp looking front and the fact that it does not have a boxy design. However the new Q3 Dynamic looks same as the Q3 available in the market and quite frankly everyone knows how it looks.
At the front of the SUV it the Dynamic trim gets Xenon plus headlamps with LED running lights which I am sure no one does best than Audi, the headlamp unit also gets range adjustment feature which makes night driving fun and safe. Unlike other Q3 trims the Dynamic trim gets a full chromed grille at the front. While nothing much has been added to the side profile except those 17 inch alloy wheels and we loved those shiny things. Beside all these the Q3 Dynamic also gets Underbody guards at both its front and rear bumpers which protects the underbody from getting damaged when you are in mood of some offroading.
But that is all you get with the top end variant of the Audi Q3 SUV, oh! And did I forget to mention it will be available with a choice of 3 new exterior colors Florett Silver, Mythos Black and Monsoon Grey. The Audi Q3 Dynamic trim will sit on top pf the premium+ trim already available in the Indian market.
|Wheel base||4385 mm|
The Q3 Dynamic package also comes with a storage package which is actually really handy in a compact vehicle like this
Before we start with anything else let us first inform you that the Q3 is definitely not a huge SUV so don’t expect the spacious interior like that of the other Q range SUV’s. But what you do get with the Q3 Dynamic trim are plenty of interesting features which includes Multifunction leather steering wheel yes! This is wrapped in premium leather and you can actually control the infotainment system and many other features with the help of the steering wheel. The front seats are electronically adjustable so you don’t have to take the strain of adjusting your seat manually when you are feeling uncomfortable while driving the vehicle beside these there is also a 4 way lumber support for the comfort of the front passengers.
The dashboard is definitely covered with leather but what makes this more interesting are the presence of walnut brown inlays. The Q3 Dynamic package also comes with a storage package which is actually really handy in a compact vehicle like this. The driver infotainments system too comes with plenty of features which sets it apart from the ordinary systems that we normally use in our car, the infotainment system comes with Audi Sound system with 10 Speakers including a subwoofer, there is also a 5.8 inch retractable screen in the middle of the dash, concert radio, Audi music interface, the Audi Infotainments system also supports Audio streaming via Bluetooth compatible devices.
Now if you are still not satisfied with that the Q3 Dynamic trim features mentioned above, it also gets a 2 Zone Deluxe automatic air conditioning system which I am sure will satisfy all your needs and will give you the feel that you are in the Himalayas when actually you are travelling on the roads of Rajasthan.

Unfortunately the newly launched Q3 Dynamic trim is only available with a 2.0-litre TDI engine; this diesel engine is mated to a 7-speed tronic transmission. This powerful engine is capable of pushing the SUV from a standstill to 100 km/h mark in just 8.2 seconds while it has a top speed of 212 km/h mark.
This is a not a huge engine so expect this to be a fuel efficient vehicle the A3 also comes with the Start/Stop system which not only saves fuel but also reduces CO2 emission. Furthermore the Q3 also comes with a Driver information system with efficiency programme which provides additional consumers and fuel-saving tips for more economic driving

Mercedes GLA Class
Mercedes will launch the GLA Class in India on September 30, 2014 and we all are excited about this new launch. The GLA Class is based on the A Class hatch platform and is basically a crossover which will compete with the other entry level entrants of the premium auto manufacturing brands present in the market. Powered by a 1.6-litre turbopetrol unit producing about 155 Bhp of peak power and 250 Nm of torque, while the second engine unit that will be available with it is a 2.2 liter diesel unit producing about 135 Bhp of peak power and 300 Nm of torque.
