DB11 is the next Aston Martin sports car

DB11 is the next Aston Martin sports car

British luxury sports car maker Aston Martin officially announced the name of their upcoming sports car at Frankfurt, which will be the replacement of Aston Martin DB9. Aston Martin DB9 has been one of the most popular sports cars of the world in recent times, and the British luxury auto maker is closing the production of that famed car. Recently they launched a limited edition special car which was Aston Martin DB9 GT Bond Edition, which was certainly a tribute to DB9 itself, rather than to the association with James Bond.

The Aston Martin DB11 will be unveiled in 2016, and it is expected to be the manufacturer’s flagship model in upcoming times. Announcing the DB11 name, Aston Martin CEO Dr. Andy Palmer has said, “Today I am proud and pleased to confirm that the DB11 nameplate will sit on our next new car. Not only is it a sign of our intention to continue the long line of iconic sports cars that bear the ‘DB’ moniker – the very bloodline of our brand – but it also shows the world our ambitious plan in action. The coming years will see Aston Martin transform not only its entire range of models but also its scale and global presence, and the new DB11 will be central to that success.”

This car will follow the footsteps of the iconic DB5 and DB9. Although Aston Martin is yet to disclose the details of the car, but we have found some pictures doing round over some websites, this new DB11 sports car comes similar to the DB9, with some restyled features like dual light headlamps, completely different looking front bumpers. This new model will come built on an updated version of the VH platform and it may sport a 6.0 liter V12 engine. The car also expected to offer a twin turbo 4.0 liter V8 engine, which is sourced from Mercedes AMG.

New Video Shows Kahn Design's Vengeance

New Video Shows Kahn Design’s Vengeance

Kahn Design’s new coach building division has taken one of the most perfect cars in the world and they have been busy redesigning it. Some owners feel that they are messing about but they have full support from Aston Martin. The British manufacturer is giving them chassis to build the new car, known as the WB12 Vengeance.

Kahn Design has replaced the elegant design with a brutal one. The car is hand built and is made from aluminium. "WB" stands for "Wide Body". Design changes include an aggressive Hannibal Lecter grille and round tail lights. From the looks of it, the car lives up to its name.

Under the hood you find the same engine that powers the DB9. It is a 6.0 litre V12 engine called the AM11 engine. It produces 510 hp and 620 Nm of torque. It accelerates from a standstill to a 100 kmph in 4.1 seconds and goes on to a top speed of 295 kmph. The car is mechanically unaltered.

The video shows the car testing at England’s Millbrook Proving Ground while the firm’s CEO, Afzal Kahn looks on. It will be limited to only 20 units. Whatever you might feel about the car, it is nice to see coach building back!!
