Ask any common man to name their favorite car used in any Hollywood movie and most of them will select an Aston Martin from a James Bond movie. These timeless classic cars from the prestigious British Auto manufacturer has truly left their mark in the hearts of auto enthusiast as well the common man not only via those Hollywood flicks but also through their appearance and performance and why not, all Aston Martin cars are built with such precession and skills that they form a bridge between classic and modern cars.
Today we are here to review one of those Aston’s which perhaps is the most popular car amongst the lot because it not only carries the genes of a Grand Tourer within it but also is the successor of the legendary DB7 which was the highest produced Aston Martin ever. The DB9 was first showcased at the 2003 Frankfurt Auto show and was designed by perhaps two of the greatest living legends of automotive design history Ian Callum and Henrik Fisker, although they have many other prestigious feathers adorning their hat but the DB9 got to be towards the top of their list. Although this car looks flawless from every angle many critics complained that the engine was not powerful enough and was not doing justice to the car and those persons who are driving it. So in order to stop the critics from complaining Aston Martin has installed a new 6.0 Liter V12 fire breather under the hood which Aston Claims is the most powerful engine ever installed in any of their cars.
Now whether this new engine is doing justice to the DB9 or not is entirely depending on the people but statistics says that this particular engine produces 10 percent more power than its predecessor and all that extra power has resulted in an improvement of both high engine and low engine speeds.
So the 2013 model year Aston Martin now has the perfect blend of power and beauty. But is it enough to make this DB9 initials curved with golden letters in the history of the prestigious Aston Martin book let’s find out.
