Ashok Leyland and Nissan jointly unveiled a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) christened as the Stile. The Stile is slated to arrive during the festive season of 2013 and will roll out from one of Nissan’s plant in Chennai.
Like the Nissan’s Evalia, the Stile will have the capacity of accommodating at least 6-7 passengers at a time. However, Ashok Leyland (mainly known for commercial vehicles) will be targeting customers who’d like to use it as hotel shuttles, ambulances, taxi services, panel vans, courier services and inter-city travel. The engine lineup will comprise of a CNG powered engine and a diesel motor and will have the capacity of accommodating at least 6-7 passengers at a time.
After their first light commercial vehicle (LCV) ‘Dost’, the Stile is the second commercial vehicle from the aforesaid joint venture. It was first unveiled at the Auto Expo 2012, India. Since the need for commercial vehicles are growing day by day in India, Ashok Leyland has laid plans to widen their portfolio in LCVs, with the Stile being one of them. As the festive season is approaching, the web is getting flooded with various updates on the yet-to-launch MPV. Based on those information and some announcements from the company itself, we have reviewed the Stile.

Ashok Leyland which is otherwise known for its commercial vehicles has made its first step into the MPV segment by presenting the Stile. The Ashok Leyland MPV is a rebadged version of the Nissan NV200 Evalia that was also presented at the Auto Expo.
