The India specific 2016 Ford Mustang gets power from a 5.0 litre Ti-VCT V8 engine which is mated to a 6 speed Getrag dual clutch automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The engine produces 401 PS of peak power and 515 Nm of peak torque. Globally the Mustang is available with V6 engine and a EcoBoost unit as well.

Therefore the Mustang will be imported as CBU or Completely Built Unit in the country. This is the reason behind the car has been slapped with an INR. 65 lakhs price tags.
