KTM launched the studio pictures of the RX 125, 200 and 390 on the internet and they finally revealed the whole RC range at the 2013 EICMA auto show which was held in the city of Milan. The RC series bikes are built to provide maximum riding pleasure to the customer and also led them experience the thrill of riding a race track inspired machine on road.
Today we are bringing you an exclusive review of the RC 390 which will make its way in India sometime next year, and the fun part is that is that it will be locally assembled in India, so KTM will definitely price those motorcycles aggressively in here. The RC 390 though share many things with the standard Duke 390 which too was recently launched in our Indian market and we also gave you an exclusive review of that motorcycle, but KTM claims that although the RC 390 shares the same frame with Duke 390 still they are way too different in their nature and handling.

KTM has made this motorcycle keeping the racing DNA intact. The RC 390 has everything that a true sportsbike should posses and it is reflected quite clearly in its styling also, So without wasting any more time let’s get straight to its styling details.
We can clearly notice that the RC 390 received a full body fairing unlike the Duke series. The front of the motorcycle looks sharp and aerodynamic and has duel headlamps followed by a windshield which will deflect winds that will helps in lowering helmet turbulence of the rider while they will be riding in a sporty riding position. The multifunctional cockpit and the digital instrument cluster not only informs the rider about a multitude of parameters, but also displays the average fuel consumption and remaining range of the Motorcycle, the clip on handlebars too helps in easy maneuvering of the motorcycle. The muscular looking fuel tank helps in giving it a sporty appeal, the sportiness of the motorcycle is kept alive further by the split sporty seats which will definitely give the rider a comfortable seating position but as far as the Pillion seat is concerned we are not too sure about their comfort factor because they are placed quite high and there is also no grab rail at the rear which might cause a big problem for them especially when we think about Indian road condition.
Another interesting styling highlight of the motorcycle is that you won’t notice the exhaust pipe located at the rear of the motorcycle or even underneath the seat that is because the three-chambered silencer is placed just beneath the engine close to the bike’s center of gravity.
Designer legend Gerald Kiska has added a sport flavor all over the motorcycle while maintaining its strict racing DNA. The RC 390 also looks very funky and new which will definitely attract the young sport bikes lovers. Lastly the attractive and colorful graphics definitely increases the appeal of the motorcycle.
The KTM RC 390 uses a single cylinder 4 stroke water cooled engine to power the 390. The engine generates an impressive amount of power to add the thrill of a powerful motorcycle, it has a displacement of 373 cc and generates 43 hp of maximum power and it is mated to a 6 speed, claw shifted transmission which is really helpful in keeping the motorcycle in right powerband.

It is still not sure what will be the exact pricing of this motorcycle but we can assure that KTM will price this motorcycle very aggressively because of the high level of localization. It can be expected that KTM will price the RC 390, forty to fifty thousand more than the Duke 390.
